I only ask because my 2016 Vanson I got through Thurston looked just like this. For a second I was thinking it was maybe something to do with their Thurston specific models.

I think the jacket fit you great double H!. You could probably tighten up the laces for an even better fit.
I know what you mean about the leather being "printed". My model "E" is printed for sure. I have been wearing it a lot and it is showing some signs of improvement. Vanson makes some awesome m/c jackets, they need better leather though. They are cheaper than most brands.

You have a proper m/c jacket, they are made with longer sleeves. When zipped they look perfect. Hope you keep it.

Fits you best of all the Vanson jackets you have. Looks perfect worn! Badass, serious bike jacket.

Yes, thick and heavy but initially felt more broken in than other Vanson in my closet. Same as your methinks. Not as squeaky as my other Vanson either, yours?

I would return it too, the bottom is super bell shaped, not in a nice way, and the sleeves are ape like.
Compared to how fitted the shoulders are it's quite weird.
The two you already have that fit you well (can't remember the 2 you kept) fit you much better than this one.

Sounds like my ********. If you like it and it fits to your standard, I would keep it. If it starts to break in and marble like mine you will be happy.

Oh, and that bell effect should disappear with use. I saw a bit of it early too. Didn’t mind bc it made it easier to carry ol’roscoe on my hip. Sometimes I wish it again flared out a bit.

Thanks for all the feedback, I decided to return it, mainly because the leather is just too soft that I can't accept it, and I believe it affects the looking of the jacket in some degree, it doesn't looking so handsome on me.
By the way, I decided to keep both LW J23 and Vanson Mercury.

Probably more than your other jackets, this one is for use on a motorcycle. The rest of your collection is stellar.

Pretty sure my next jacket will be cordovan heavy steerhide. The variations on my Highwayman cordovan fqhh is quite stunning.

That is a fantastic looking jacket. I tried a similar one in the factory last month, and I was sorely tempted. If I didn't already have two cordovan jackets, I'd have one in a heart beat!

I suppose the bell shape might be thought for riding where if it was straight it might hit the body and ride up. Not a good look when standing up.

Just won this Aero Highwayman in natural horsehide on eBay.

I’m not sure if it is Vicenza, CXL, or some other variety of horsehide. Labeled size is 46 but it measures out trimmer than the 44 Highwayman I used to own. Here’s hoping it fits!
