How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Damn buying stuff that doesn’t fit just because you like it is pretty ********! That’s a place where I really don’t want to go :)

Just placed the deposit for a custom piece from Johnson Leathers. Should get the mock up just after my birthday end of April / beginning of May. So stoked!

Was multitasking earlier and lost part of my draft without realizing it.

Design plan right now is:

Asymmetric zip cafe racer style in Horween Vermont Dark Brown Horsehide.

Curved back yoke with curved bottom hem w small 1.5” back drop.

Brass Riri zips and few other customizations.

Overall idea looks a lot like a Langlitz Crescent with different leather and back design.

Sounds awesome. Damon is a pleasure to work with and I’m sure it will look amazing when completed!

For the vest I just sent him pics and said “Please make this!”

The jacket was more complicated for me to decide on what I wanted, and he’s been very patient. I also made clear several times that I wanted him to tell me if anything I asked for was a bad idea or if he had any suggestions.

He had a few pointers here and there, but for the most part his vibe has been “yeah, it’s a jacket, we can do that, we’ll make sure it works out for you”

I've found this one on a flea market yesterday:

At first glance, this surprised me because there are soft leather or faux-leather coats on these kinds of markets (most mall products). Yesterday, however, there were plenty of bikers jackets hanged on a wall. I ran into the place and caught a glimpse of this one, watching life go by: so I didn't doubt, knew what this jacket was, and I bought it.

This Golden Bear has some issues:
1. Lining was replaced at some point in Germany, there are "Echtes Leder" tags inside.
2. The Main zipper was replaced with a #7 YKK and installed in the wrong sides. YKK on pockets and cuffs.
3. There's a little "belt" with eyelet under the left side of the collar. Despite this, there's no button or similar on the opposite side.
4. Leather (heavy-weight, btw) is dirty, dried and has "brown" areas. IDK if the black on leather has gone due to the age/use, or what.
5. There's an unusual Harley-Davidson logo on the back. I googled it but the common logo is an eagle with spread wings; on this the eagle has upright opened wings. Any thoughts?
6. On top collar, a tag shows "52"... nope. I measured the chest, it's 20" p2p.
7. Sold with a belt, but I don't know if it's original. Was this model supplied originally with one?

@Leather Walker , yep, that's GB. Really beautiful example, too. Fits you very nice. Like a heavy leather jacket. I often wonder how did any of these find their way here, to Europe. Anyway, now that you got this one, maybe it's time to part with padded Cal? XD I know, I know but this seriously is nice!!

If LeatherWalker ever falls, hits his head and decides to sell the padded Cal, it’s MINE. It stays in the US, where it belongs:p.

Not only have I called dibs on that jacket 11 years ago but Leather Walker is in Europe so Cal stays where the founder of Cal Leathers is originally from. Which is, again, Europe. Having said that, let me kindly direct you to a fantastic pure bread US brand I'm so jealous we don't have here...

(Plus it wouldn't fit you, right? That jacket is S/M?)

Ha, well done. I would have swore he was in Cali somewhere. Now I wonder where I got that idea.

Supreme is the pinnacle of all that is cool. Everything else is junk. ‘Merica baby!!

All joking aside, I think I read somewhere the founder is also from Germany or something like that but not sure.

EDIT: Oh, you mean Leather Walker? I seem to recall Europe. Spain? Right?

Maybe. I could have swore he was in the US, west coast specifically. I probably just attributed his love of Cal Leathers, and ability to find great deals on them, to being from California.

Exactly! Although it's hard to find quality leather motorcycle jackets here, there's always a way. I've seen great jackets for sale at local vintage stores... for insane prices. I blame tags!

If I hit my head and get crazy, I'd buy all my jackets myself -and put them on at the same time, probably.:D Seriously, I really appreciate that you guys like this Cal so much. Thank you.

Oh sorry, they gotta know themselves. Well, both of these and my other two Cal. I think they intend to be a big close family! I'll take a group pic of my little collection.
