I have the Lightning book that has the white cover stating something like “all vintage” jackets. Not sure if it is any different from the other white covered books. I wonder if your new book is different and merits a BIN.

I just sit there and look at the pictures, similarly to normal people and their *******.

Jacket adjacent but I just won this full zip all wool TFH cardigan pretty inexpensive on buyee. My biggest concern is it'll be too warm to wear very often.

A Book full of Jackets! I bought this on yahoo Japan on December 13, 2020. It was cheap compared to ebay prices. Shipping by DHL was going to be the same as shipping a jacket! So I opted for the cheap route, 3 months later it arrives.

I think it was bargained priced because the cover is put on backward?

Just thumbed through and it has a ton of jackets I have not seen. Always something new to learn in this books.

Nice! Sometimes a book about jackets is in fact more satisfying than another jacket. My Rin Tanaka book came with all of this correspondence (letters and envelopes) between him and a collector tucked in the pages.

Rins books are expensive, and somewhat responsible for the explosion in pricing over the last 5-10 years. But for all of that; they still are really cool. I own almost all of them and they have such cool stuff. They are a really good resource.

This book has a lot of pictures, not the best/largest shots. Here are some pages. It is mostly Japanese.

Thank you. I may have to purchase it. The white-covered Lightning book is one jacket per page. A beautiful large photo of the front of the jacket and a smaller photo of the back. Really cool. I would post pics but it’s in my storage unit. In a place I cannot reach.

I just ordered a Walter Dyer cafe racer from their ebay account. The pit to pit measurement looked weird, so I asked for a pic...it wasn't 19, but 21 inches. Should be perfect

Shipping+customs is not nice, but for a new Walter Dyer the price is right (and then some!).

I had this one a few years ago. Super easy to wear and I think the pattern will suit you well. Great jacket.

What did you think of the leather? It doesn't look like WD's heaviest leather, but looks nice to my eye.

I like the leather. A change up from LW or CXL for sure, but sometimes a welcome change. It’s very much like the naked cow that’s used on my Schott vest or I have seen used by a few US makers, like Fox Creek, Natal/Natel, Kerr. Though not as thick as the last few. It isn’t thin, not by a long shot, but it isn’t a heavyweight Natal/Natel. At least not in my experience with this jacket. It is soft, drapes well and really easy to wear. Nice grain, typical of the naked stuff. Not for everyone. I like it. I would repeatedly grab it for dinners with the wife.

Add:: I just checked my database. My jacket weighed around 4.5 pounds.

Enjoy the jacket.

English, typed letters in addressed envelopes. With a Rin signature at bottom. Looks like maybe circa 2000? He’s telling the recipient about his My Freedamn! editions and some other personal notes.

That jacket is supercool! Awesome. Your are in Amsterdam right? One of my favorite cities, be careful where you go in that get up. I have a feeling some manner of debauchery will tap on your shoulder. I find it very difficult to say no.
