This is by far the ugliest Hornskov i've seen. I can't understand that someone has given the order the make a hat like this. I know it's a matter of taste...... View attachment 361120

Yeah, the hobo chic aesthetic escapes me too. Eye of the beholder and all that, but really? Still, I remember when I grew my hair out and my dad couldn’t understand why I wanted to look like a “hippie bum” (if he knew how many times girls I hardly knew started running their fingers through my hair he would have understood my motivation :) ).

Then maybe we should wear this hat for the girls? :D

Well, the hair isn't going to happen anymore for me and the "girls" I usually get comments from on my hats are old enough to be my mother ... ;)

Hair is for me no option either hehe

For several reasons, my long hair days are behind me too. However, if attractive women loved these types of hats I’d be taking a bow torch and rusty scissors to my hats. I really enjoy hat, but there’s things that always win out. ;)

But why commission a new hat and have it destroyed? Just pick up an old beater and have at it...
I have what I call 'practice felts/hats' that are discarded into a bin in my shop as my mistake was not fixable. Thinking I should pull them out, slap on a fancy ribbon, cut holes in a few spots, perhaps a bullet hole and sell them for big bucks.

I'm not inherently against pre-distressed hats. I get it. Some folks want that lived in look and don't have the patience to do it naturally. Fender certainly brings in money selling new 'relic' guitars.

What I don't get though, is this trend of greasy/waxy looking hats. I've never seen any old hat end up looking like this.
