That IS beautiful, Brent!
Thanks, Joe. If it was a couple sizes bigger I would have been ecstatic.
That IS beautiful, Brent!
I saw that in your eBay store an hour ago. I dunno if I can get away with a homburg but it sure is purdy, BrentToo long since I’ve had something worthy to post here.
Dark blue Stetson The Sovereign Twenty Marine (color or model?) in size 7 ½ or 60cm. The ribbon still has the basting stitching. I really like blue hats and this dark blue has enough blue to bot appear black. Aside from some foxing it looks pristine.

A most excellent homburg, Brent.
Thanks, Randy. How are you doing thinning your herd?

+1 !That IS beautiful, Brent!
My first contribution to the Homburg Nation is this Scott and Co. Midnight Blue homburg.
With a 2-1/4 inch brim and 5-1/2 inch open crown, the felt is quite nice (probably rabbit or hare) though not particularly soft. However, the inside is impressively luxurious.

Dobbs, late 50s/early 60s is my guess.
There’s nothing particularly remarkable about this homburg except I think the colors are worth showing off.
5-5/8 crown and 2-1/4 inch brim.

Thanks Randy! Good to sort out a way to display the hats in photos. I’ve got one more on the way tonight. An excellent pair of homburgs, Nathan.
I love these 1940s Royal Stetson De Luxes.
Thanks Bob! Just to clarify, this is an OPA vice OPS hat. Here’s a FL link that describes the differences:Me too! I love this particular hat as well, but it is an early ‘50s edition. O.P.S. was in effect from 1951 - 1953.

You know what makes this even funnier is something nobody in the Lounge knows until now: I still keep my hair cut in a mohawk.

And that, opposed to what it was when I was a young man (can’t access a better photo right now):

So yes, your vision for my future as a banker would be a big change indeed!
No worries, I reckoned you knew the difference but I put the link up anyway for newbies like myself who might still be learning these kind of signposts.Ha! I’ll schedule a visit with my optometrist for next week.
Sorry ‘bout that.
