If I HAVE to shelter in place, it is a great time to renew my membership in the Nation with two new ones at my mailbox this morning. First, a new/old mid-gray tone-on-tone Knox Superfine. The second is a new custom charcoal and smoke from Northwest hats. Two-hat days are great, are they not!!!

Two glorious homburgs. You wear them well. The colors are very striking, especially for grays.

Two beauties Randy, congrats.
Like you, I'm staying in as much as possible and playing with my hats.
Stay well, my friend

Good heavens! The homburg nation seemed to be sinking. Good thing one of the hats that came in today is a homburg. And not just any homburg I might add.
Furtex homburg in black. Probably of unknown manufacture (the sweatband seems fragile, so I didn't want to keep peeling at it. The label is in English, but the liner says Marque deposé. Its styling makes me think it could be French. Size 58, with very generous proportions for a homburg: brim at 6,5cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. Lovely hand to the felt and the thin brim binding which is not a common feature for European hats.

Stefan, we can't let the Homburg Nation sink. Nice new find of yours, here's an old purchase of mine via you.

One of my favourite black Homburgs.
I love the way hats find their way to their true home.
This Manchester made Battersby, exported to and sold in Finland found it's way to Holland, then to Denmark to me.

Serendipity or what? IMG_20200415_163741.jpg IMG_20200415_163743.jpg IMG_20200415_163747.jpg IMG_20200415_163749.jpg IMG_20200417_231718.jpg .

Wow, I'm not so big on black hats, except my bowlers, but that one is amazing, Stefan!!!

Can't keep a good hat away from its master (they seem to take their cue from the one ring;)).

Thanks, Randy. They don't get enough love here on the lounge I feel. Black hats matter!

Bello e francese!
Grazie mille, Daniele!
