Guys,

I need some clarification while searching for a pair of engineer boots by red wing model 2268.

I'm a bit confused since I'm looking for the black model which fades into brown.

Not sure if the PT91 is a must or which other info I should look for on the label when searching for it.

Attached the photo of what in an extreme case looks like when I mentioned 'fade into brown'...

Thanks for any help in advance and Happy new year everyone!!!

I think you are looking for the Redwing 9268 in Klondike.
This leather was a tea-core style designed to turn brownish with age. The 2268 is chrome tanned. The vintage PT91 boots do turn brown, but they are also 20-30yrs old.
