Help finding this Leather Jacket (Cafe Racer with Stripes)

Hello,

New user here with this being my first post. I must say I am very impressed with this positive and friendly community.

I've been scouring the internet trying to find a particular style of leather jacket. It's basically a black Cafe Racer with vertical stripes (see pics). I've checked out the line-up of all the usual brands, eg: Schott, Vanson, Aero, etc and no-one has anything close. Can only seem to find the standard black jackets. The only thing I've found with stripes is an Easy Rider - red, white and blue jacket but it doesn't really appeal to me. I even contacted Vanson via email asking if they would customise a Model B for me but they didn't respond :rolleyes:

I would like to find something of reasonable quality that will last and cost isn't really a factor. I'm not interested in any eBay, Etsy, Cosplay, etc rubbish.

Can anyone help me find what I'm looking for?

Other than getting the Cyclops' Belstaff or going vintage, I don't think you've got that many options. Bates would be your best bet although, thousands upon thousands of such jackets were made in Italy in the 70's and the 80's. I'm sure you could find exactly what you're looking for on Vinted but good luck with that.

Langlitz or Johnson Leathers would do this sort of customization for you.

If you are US-based, try calling them to see what their options are...

Triumph Motorcycles has a line of leather jackets. The model your pics remind me of is called the Raven. The colors and striping gets tweaked a little bit from year to year, but this might give you some ideas if you were going to go the custom route, or you could probably find one pretty cheap used somewhere. Might not exactly be high-end leather, but the Triumph jackets that I’ve seen have at least been well thought out and put together solidly.

As @Monitor says, the jacket in your photos is a Belstaff, it's their Racing Blouson. You might find one on the used market but prices can be expensive as they're now very rare.

E: here's one;

And here's another one, in a less sought after colour way;

Thanks. That jacket is worth consideration. I'll look into it

Lewis Leathers. If you can, drop by their shop in London.

If cost is no factor, Himel has done racing stripes on his Brimaco inspired CR before.
As others have said, Johnson Leathers, but as yourselves I have found them hard to get to talk to me.

Yes. They might easily delete the sleeve stripes off an Easy Rider for you.

Nice idea. I've just send them an enquiry.

Going with Lewis Leathers or Johnson Leathers for this is crazy.

Like I said, thousands upon thousands of such jackets were made as it used to be an extremely popular European style, which is where the movie jacket is drawing their inspiration from and I'm absolutely certain you can find one just like it, only in proper quality & for 50 Euros tops.

Fair point. Probably the best route to take. Still struggling to find any of these jackets online in the second hand space though. I'm thinking about going for a Used - Belstaff Cyclops Jacket now
