Hi community -
Little background from me. My father who passed away last weekend always wore a fedora, and had a hat for every season. He had a great collection from felt to straw, wide to short brim, etc.. I don't think any of them were particularly expensive brands or top quality, but all were in great condition.
I took eight fedoras and left three to my brother.
Here is my question. My head shape and sizing differs from my dad. I think it fits a little high on my head and I see a gap from brim to my ears, which differ than the pics I see online. I would love to wear them to remember him, but don't know where to start.
Are Fedoras able to be altered? Where and who do I take it to? If I can at least get three good fedoras out of the bunch, It would be great. I'm located in Northern New Jersey, but would ship them if I had to.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
