Hawaiian shirts and fedoras

We have friends from London calling today, there's a classic car show in nearby Burley that we are taking them to. Afterwards we shall enjoy Sunday lunch together at a rather good gastropub called The Old Beams. Tina, as always, is still getting ready, leaving me to make sure the MG looks it's best. A recycled photo, but this today's attire for me, how I love this shirt.

A couple shirts were picked up at the local Goodwill store, but most were right off ebay. I usually go for the 100% cotton shirts from Pierre Cardin and Campia

Everything about this photo is so pleasing. The narrow hatband against a high crown, the beautiful shirt, the half sunlit image, the look that says it all. Just brilliant.

Have to agree, the hats and shirts combo are superb, I've singled out this photo because it shows that when the colour matches or contrasts, wearing the shirt collar over the jacket collar has that ultra cool image. I love it, compliments to you.

Thank you kindly. This is one of my favourite threads as it combines two of the finer things in life, aloha shirts and vintage fedoras [emoji41]. You all are sartorial inspirations for me.

For some time I've been coveting a blue straw to go with this summer blazer, today, whilst visiting friends in London, I bought it from the Chrtstys shop. They didn't have my size in stock but promised me that it would be on my head by the end of the week.

This material was called: 'Birds of Paradise.' The minute my wife held it up, I knew that there was a shirt in there, just needed a talented missus to find it.

...I must say that the search engine on TFL leaves something to be desired in general.

They upgraded the software that runs The Lounge about a year ago (more or less), and the search engine appears to have lost the ability to locate most of the threads that existed before that upgrade was made.
