Hi Randall, you asked me to post this here. It's as said a fender Paramount all solid mahogony, narrower than a 000, cutaway, no electrics, set up adjusted with a TUSQ saddle, 0.10 (0.25mm) relief, 1mm - 1.5mm E to E action, d'addario nickel bronze strings and brass pegs. Rosewood board

It's pretty, came with a hardcase for about $450 a few years back.

Sounds great, better since I made the adjustments and got some moisture into the wood.

Nice to meet you, I used post a bit more a few years ago

Really like your hats in the western hat thread and the refurbishments, inspiring work.

Hey, Karl, great to meet you, too.
Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy bringing back old things to new life—of all kinds.
Again, fine looking Fender and sure it sounds even finer.
I’m not familiar with their Paramount line, but yours looks well built and blinged out nicely.
Low action makes for a great finger pick guitar.
Mine, on page 11 of this thread, has very high action, since I bang her pretty hard with a thick tri-cornered “BlueChip” plectrum.
Yes, contemporary Bluegrass is my favored music genre. Most of us Grassers ain’t very nice to their wires&wood, but like to think we make up for it by letting our boxes enjoy the vibrations of their full potential. :)

Ps,
Campdraft looks sharp, too.
Thanks for posting!

Yeh different styles. I used to hit it harder with higher action and I too reckon that helps a guitar open up. (-:

DD, after having that left hand & arm surgery 3 yrs ago, & still having Dupuytrens Contracture I don't play anything well enough to deserve a Collings anymore.

I totally get what you are saying... I wound up with a staph infection on my spine (back surgery gone awry...) which resulted in my having developed Rhabdo in my shoulders... my ability to play is bad... really bad now... plus the fact that I almost died...

There was a guitar or two I had been wanting that I no longer feel that I should invest that kind of money in quality instruments...

I just don't know...

Beautiful instruments and hats...

Sorry to learn of your experience. Even the strong antibiotics to help prevent staph infections can change your taste buds for a very long time. Dark chocolate & things containing coco powder still taste bitter to me from the antibiotics I was on all those yrs ago.
