Hats from Texas Department Stores

[AbbaDatDeHat]

Greetings All:
I can’t believe no one has presented this venerable Houston establishment.
Well...maybe it’s not a dept. store??
Anyway....think i’ll wear the 100 awhile.
Be well. Bowen

Nice history on that one!

Supernatural Tulcan Panama from Norton-Ditto in Houston.

First location (Barringer-Norton Building) beginning in 1908:

Then the Esperson Building (1946).

Later moved to the Soutwest Bank Building (1956).

Hat department in the background.

Excellent hat! Yes, I'll have to add my own Shudde Bros to the thread one day soon!

Picked this up in a 2nd hand store in Wyoming. Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated

I don’t recall ever seeing this thread before, but I’m happy to add to it. Here is a Stetson Twenty Open Road from Harris in Dallas. I have a couple more from Texas department stores that I can add later.

Love it! I have not seen many Twenty ORs.

[Who me?]

Ok, ok, it doesn’t count, but I feel left out.
My wife’s 7x clear open road.
P H Westerfield was the mayor of Gruver, Texas.
Interesting signature underneath the sweat. Can’t make it out though.
Cant imagine a hat being nicer than this.
