Must be the winds from the Ozarks drifting to Florida.
Hopefully it doesn’t smell like the stockyards.

Sorry for your loss Dale.View attachment 358817 Jack Barrel Proof 134 and the 2 hats I wore today. Early 50s Royal Stetson kept the sun off me at my cousin's funeral this morning...and since I had already blown off work to go to the graveyard I wore the mesh trucker hat to the lake this afternoon to do a little fishing. The cat with no name is photobombing my effort.
Eric, it really is quite refreshing on a warm day, and a perfect precursor to my traditional Labor Day burgers and franks feast. Deep River uses their flagship lager as the base for several interesting brews. This one has a strong dill pickle flavor that one will either love or hate, depending on one’s affinity for pickles. This is the last of a four pack I purchased, and yes, I will buy it again. That is fascinating. Dill pickles and beer. I like eating dill pickles when sipping beer. But holy hannah, combining it. Vegetable beer...hmmm.
Ok you need to provide a bit of feedback for a dill pickle beer. How was it? Tasty? Drink it again?
I read on the website that "This Dill Pickle Lager was brewed in collaboration with R & R Brewing of Mount Olive, NC! Its a light refreshing lager soaked on dill pickle spears."
Thanks for sharing, Eric -

My road tripping last wk took me into the Kiamichi Mountains of OK to visit a friend for six days. Since he had all the rum & liqueurs from a recent family birthday party, one evening we crafted up a cocktail called The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Equal shots of RumChata, Jaegermeister, Rumple Minze German Schnapps, & Goldschlager Swiss Cinnamon Schnapps, on ice. It had been a long time since I had any Jaeger. I'm positive good rum drinkers could recognize the taste of RumChata blindfolded; very good & unique. The German Schnapps was not the peppermint but more of a cooling spearmint which helped to offset the Cinnamon Schnapps. Even so, I cut mine back to about a half shot ea on both Schnapps. This around an outdoor fish fry & crawdad boil. I would have rather just had Tequila.
How was the American Stout? American Stout? You have me curious as I have sipped the Duck Foot Turn of Darkness. I got it from a beer friend who I trade beers with. The single can I sipped did get my attention. The 10% Imperial Stout I recorded in my beer notes as one to look for and purchase again.
Looks intriguing and with an interesting label.
Thanks for sharing Ross.
I'm closing out this holiday weekend with some Glenmorangie 18.
