...but I even have come to expect some to look like their avatar (read Aureliano, GT Dean) when I know full well that the Avatars aren't real...[/IMG]
I hear that!Tell me about it. I had high hopes for Buler....@$#%&!!
Well, you know Tom: God will probably punish me for saying so (because I actually lived through those days....) but: there are very few that can carry either of 'em off. For my money: you did. If you ever decide to grow 'em back in...it won't be the fatal mistake it would be for almost everybody else, at least for my penny's worth. — "Skeet"
Dude, you don't surf with your fedora? Looks like you have a couple of nice boards there, Hoss, and I see you have an "Old Guys Rule" t-shirt. I have a couple longboards I use on the North Shore of Massachussetts and in North Carolina. I'm pretty much a kook, but enjoy getting wet anyway. Is that an Element your boards are on?Somewhat bizarre...not only have I become accustomed to "seeing" folks in their hats when they post but I even have come to expect some to look like their avatar (read Aureliano, GT Dean) when I know full well that the Avatars aren't real...anyway, surfing and fedoras don't mix in the moment (least not the way I surf) so I didn't have one on this day

Longboards are all that I surf anymore and even that 9' Wave Tool really doesn't float me any longer. I'm looking to build a 10'6" super floaty wood board to carry my 275 lbs to shore. And, yes, it is an Element. My oldest son and I drove down to the Poles near Jax Beach and camped in the Element and surfed for nearly a week a couple years back. The Honda was just about perfect for what we wanted to do. The only issue was dealing with the humidity while trying to sleep but we managed.Dude, you don't surf with your fedora?
