One of our coaches had a birthday today. The gymnasts and I planned a special celebration for her. I set it in motion depending on the girls and parents to follow through. Unknown to me the girls felt bad that they missed my birthday that fell during the closing of the gym due to the pandemic. A couple of the younger training team gymnasts, during the planning of the celebration, thought I was probably really missing not having hair and so they suggested I should also have a gift and that it should be hair. The parents went out and arranged the gifts and some celebratory food treats.

Imagine my surprise that I got a gift and that it was hair. Big, hard laughs all day wearing the wig. It added to the humor that the girls parents got me a President Trump wig. The birthday coach and I have been ever so appreciative of being back with our athletes and today was soooo special.
