I am thinking as summer is approaching (Im in Australia) I should get myself a hat. But I don't really know where to start or what style to really be looking for.

Im looking for something that will suit my usually summery rockabilly type style (dress pants with thin belt, singlet tucked in, hawaiian shirt unbuttoned etc..) and Im thinking I would like to find something that would suit these shoes http://www.violetpromotions.co.uk/pg.html but also not look too silly with blue jeans and chuck taylor converse sneakers. Also I am hoping for a somewhat smaller brim.

so if anybody knows what sort of hat would suit what I am after please let me know, specific hats too, not just a website link. Because Im a little lost when it comes to know what sort of hat I need.

Thanks

Do you know what type of hat you are looking for? With summer coming to an end in the US there may be a few opportunities to snag an inexpensive straw stingy on "that auction site".

I am looking something cool, Im figuring that felt may be a little warm, Im in a place that can get up around 40 degrees (104 degrees Fahrenheit) for long periods of time and crazy humidity.

Thanks

sun screen

Have you not heard Slip, Slop, Slap??

Believe it or not, the cancer society of NSW sells a line of sun hats. (you can google their website) The hats aren't bad for their purpose.

And don't forget the Slip and Slop!

(Translation: to prevent skin cancer, Slip on a shirt, Slop on sunscreen, and Slap on a hat)
