Hat Hair

Well now....I normally just run my fingers through my hair if I am wearing my Fedora hats, and the same for Daniel. His hair is actually longer than mine at the moment, but I would think anyone wearing a hat be it a fedora or flat cap or any kind, is going to have goo all in the hat if you use any hair dressing or hair spray on your hair.

I wear my hair short but not buzzed. I find that if I style my hair with a relatively stiff gel and blow dry, the hair gets less squashed. My hair feels springier. A quick ruffle with the fingers and I'm good to go. However, without a stiff gel, I get that pinched in look on the sides. You know, the one that makes you look like Mr. Peanut from the neck up.

Maybe your hat doesn't fit right? I have a round oval. My custom VS hats don't mess up my hair unless I wear them a long time, but the regular oval hats I have would so I have to get them a little larger. Maybe your hat is too tight, or the wrong oval?

I get pretty bad hat hair since my hair is fairly thick and shaggy. My hat doesn't come off until I get home at night anyway so it doesn't bother me. Best fix for hat hair? Put a hat on.

This is very funny, to me at least. We have individuals out in public with multi-colored hair confident enough to work, attend college and interview for a job. We have people with more visible piercings than some people have had vaccines, but it does not seem to be slowing them down. There are people out in public barely dressed enough to avoid a ticket for indecent exposure. Nonetheless, they are out and about.

And we are talking/worried about hat hair. Let me encourage you to wear the hat and the hat hair that comes with it. I am sure very few, if anyone notices your hat hair.

I keep my hair tight on the sides, and full on the top... Avoids hat-head all together.

I don't think its coincidence that tapered haircuts were the norm, when hats were worn with greater frequency!

What's left is buzz cut to an eighth of an inch. Best remedy for hat hair I know.

(Yeah, I know, not particularly useful, but how often can ya boast about losing your hair? haha)

Keeping the locks clean is the key. Even as my mane gets longer these days, when I remove a hat and manually run the digits through the strands, it all seems to know where to go. So, WASH your hair. Sorry... tell your friend to was his/her hair!!
