Nice woman at an antiques mall with a stall FULL of pins, brooches, paperweights you name it handed it to me and said "happy birthday, now you have to come back with your wife and buy something".

Oh, Canada! Nice pin St. Ignatz! Is the NRA pin in your avatar on a hat?

my newest hat pins...

I've got a few new ones
I put this silver eagle I purchased at a christian store on my Bond Executive:

I put this Semper Fi pin on my Fed IV

After purchasing this pin, I thought it looked sort a funny and never thought I would ever end up putting it on any hats (just because the red and the letter font). But, after putting a red ribbon on my panama, it matches and looks pretty nice:

and lastely, I placed this cross on my brand new sunbody fedora:

The NRA pin is a screw back. If you know of a way to put it on a hat without boring a hole in it let me know please.

You tell me & we'll both know. [huh] Naw, I just PUNCH 'EM THROUGH, life's too short , eh? If you should decide ever to divest yourself of it, lemme know, you have a ready buyer. The one I have been looking for w/o paying in excess of a c-note is an old IWW pin like this

One more

I boosted this from a black 7 1/8 Adam porkpie that Mrs. Blaine never wears and put it on my gray Christys' Adventurer.

She may well have to tolerate it being on indefinite loan! :D I love it there, it REALLY pops. It's like a little jewel.

TWA Knock-off

I got this offa the Ebay the other day. I think it might even have been cast from an old TWA pin, as some markings have obviously been ground off the wingtips. Unfortunately it has the "push-pin" type fastener instead of the kind you can slip behind the bow. I broke the pin off with a pair of pliers and then tied the little plane to the bow of my hat. The pic shows that little experiment with some contrasting thread which has since been replaced by something less obtrusive. Not too bad, and only $6 shipped.

Snoopy going after the Red Baron

Picked this one up on eBay (where else  ) and thought it would go great on my Mallory Strat Clone.

I think I'll use a couple of photos of this hat for my initial foray into the Brotherhood of the Thin Ribbon!

My first 2 Vintage pins...

Like I needed something else to buy off ebay related to hats. I got these 2 vintage pins, one circular is on my Stetson Casual & a JBS branding iron just seemed to go with the 3" brim 1940's Stetson OR with the last drop liner....

Thanks, D.W.!

The first book I have a memory of actually reading was a book of Peanuts cartoons. Must have been around 1965 or so. Been a fan ever since!

Cheers,
Tom
