Harley Davidson by The Real McCoy Question

I’m not sure why but I’ve recently developed an interest in some older mid 90s I think Harley Davidson horsehide double rider jackets that were made by The Real McCoy. They appear to be made of pretty nice horsehide and based on measurements look like they would fit well. Can anyone weigh in on where these were likely made? Would these be NZ made? Did they likely use Italian horsehide or would it be be shinki? Lastly and most importantly how much should I ask to pay? These aren’t cycle champs just RMC horsehide double riders from the 90s. I am seeing huge variation in prices anywhere from a few hundred to almost 2k dollars. Thanks for the help

I looked into this a while back. The RMC was NZ made. If you’re patient, they tend to go for $500-$1k on JP site.

The one I’m interested in is also not Cycle Champs, but 1930s aviator repro.

Those are nice. One of my favorites. However, there are other makers who make very much the same jacket. I personally love my upgraded Norshor that ones belong to a nice person who I consider a friend of mine. It is a superior jacket to the average RMCNZ aviator type. RMCNZ made an excellent jacket as well. Their cotton lining is almost identical to the originals. I remember buying some from a time ago. I sold one brand new one G-1 here not too long ago due to the size. I purchased them from RMNZ new along with several others. I still have one G-1 type that I might put out for sale. But going back to the RMNZ, they did an excellent replica of the cycle king. Which, I'm still looking for one from them.

Beautiful hide, Harris Tweed lining, excellent hardware and superior craftsmanship. Images courtesy of fedora member and former owner.
