This may be a tad early but they usually bloom in February. In a month or so they'll be gone. They're lovely while they're here. :)

Amazingly, I saw a robin in my neighborhood in the Bronx last Saturday. I saw it again yesterday morning. After an exceptionally cold winter, at least a very cold 6 or 7 weeks, the temps seem to be rising a lot, and it will be near 60 today. Very welcome relief indeed. We've had a little bit of snow on the ground continually since mid December, but never a really large amount, in contrast to Boston which has been utterly engulfed.

[/IMG]I am sure all my daffodils are in full bloom in my home for sale in Texas. :(
Lived there for 15 years.
Had gardenias, bluebonnets, easter lilies, red bud trees, huge wisteria.

Thank you for reminding me. I love daffodils. They give hope and look like they are smiling.

Ahhh, Paradise. But...Spring in Arkansas is lovely and you have wildlife in your backyard. Soon there will be red, red robins bob, bob, bobbin' along!:)

We already have Robins and Quail and Doves all over. Unless the bad storms blew them away last night.
I am so ready for Spring. I love Spring best right after Fall. I don't do Winter well. Thank you.

I love the photos of the spring flowers. I heard the birds singing this morning, but it is unseasonably warm. I'm not sure they'll stick around.

That's a very small home.
Economic crisis, or no- I'm sure you'll sell it.

Just noticed this funny. This is a church honey built me to cover the well pump or whatever you call it.
I now have city water and hate it. I loved my delicious well water and miss it.
My hair has a mind of its own now. We had a softener on the well. :eek:fftopic:

Thank you for that - I never get tired of seeing daffodils in spring. It's one of the things I miss about the UK.

When I was living there, I sent a photo one year to my father of myself sitting in a field of daffodils. It remains his favourite to this day - he said it took him back fifty years to when he was living in London at about the same age I was. He's never since ceased to remember and dream of springtime and daffodils in England.

Ah yes, the Daffodils (we call them "March flowers" here). I always look for them as a sign that Spring is near. The March flowers along the drive started poking their heads above ground a couple weeks ago. I expect to see the first blooms about mid-March.

The flowers along the drive at my place have been there for years and years. I recall my aunt saying that when my grandfather died on 23 March 1932 that they stopped on the way to his funeral to pick the flowers along the drive to put on his casket.

Those daffodils are stunning, we have a great deal of brown grass and dead gardens over here at the moment. I can't believe that I am going to say this but bring on Fall and the rain.
