Hanging Aero Jackets on hangers. Best hangers for the job?

Aero specifies on their site that a regular sloped suit hanger can damage your Jacket. So I made some comparing photos with my rockafella:

To my untrained eye the suit hanger makes the jacket hang better/more natural. The straighter Aero one, seems to introduce more folds.

What are your experiences?

On Amazon, for $30, I bought a 4-pack of: TOPIA HANGER Unfinished American Red Cedar Wood Coat Suit Hangers, Luxury Wooden Jacket Clothes Hangers, Wide Shoulder with Black Padded Pant Bar- 360°Flexible Hook, 4 Pack- Natural- CT07W

Fully satisfied. I wouldn't expect miracles from the Cedar wood content, but they seem plenty wide in the shoulders which is where it counts. I'd be fine with similar wide-shouldered hangers in lower cost plastic.

There's a good case to be made that ideal "long term" storage is flat in and with as few folds as possible.

Om the Aero site they mention these kind of hangers damage their jackets, but on my rockafella it's seems to hang more naturally with these hangers.

I haven't used Aero-branded hangers, but from closely examining pix, the hangers I suggested (and which you seem to be using) appear to provide more supportive surface in the shoulder area than the far more expensive Aero hangers.

I think Aero has some jackets with really square shoulders, maybe then those hangers make sense?

This comes up all the time
Here is one thread with 3 pages. There are more threads already

Yes, the addition of closed cell foam "heating pipe" insulation onto a "narrow shoulder" hanger is a great idea for hangers that are not so initially "supportive" of leather jacket shoulders. Pool noodles might be a bit much.

As you no doubt infer, this discussion has been ongoing. I found my fairly inexpensive hangers, and no complaints from me. YMMV.

I, too, have been on a hunt for the perfect hanger for my leather jackets. I've tried: Woodlore contoured cedar hangers, The Hanger project (18 and 20in widths!!!) as well as some generic large and wide ones from The Container Store and even Amazon. They've all worked well as long as the width of the hanger puts the end where it supports the shoulder seam (but not too far over). Never tried the pool noodles because I fear the material might degrade and interact with the jacket lining. Not sure if that's a valid concern, but with my wooden hangers, they haven't been an issue.
