I need to thin the herd, and have a few other 7 1/4 hats to sell!

These are a couple of real beauties, that I've been hesitant to unload, but I just can't stand padding sweatbands.

First, the venerable Borsalino "Renna" (reindeer), a fabulous soft as butter green heather felt that has a comfortable unreeded sweatband and a 2 1/8" felted edge. Absolutely no flaws that I can see, save for some aging of the liner.

Second, this flawless Royal Stetson in a versatile granite grey with matching wide ribbon and back bow. This might've been one of my favorite hats if it didn't turn my ears down. The bound brim is 2 1/4".

Asking $100 plus shipping for each of these. Paypal works best.

*I also have what I believe to be the original box for the Stetson. It is large and a little bulky/heavy, but would certainly include it if you'd like, if you're willing to pick up the additional shipping charges. If interested, let me know and I'll send a pic. Thanks!

I'll get some measurements. Accurate Circumference may be a challenge but I will try. I'll also post length and width.

Borsalino sale pending.

The measurements of the head opening of the Stetson are 8 1/8" by 6 5/8" from reed to reed.
Here's a shot of the box.

Jeff,

Beautiful hats! Unfortunately they are too small for me.

I'm curious about the age of the Reindeer. I have a Borso with the exact same liner, sweatband and size tag. Do you know when yours was manufactured? I've been lazy and haven't done any research on mine.

Good luck on your sales. Those are great hats!

I actually never bothered to look it up-- I assumed 50s, from the shorter brim and felted edge. I believe the original owner in Pipestone, MN, passed away quite a few years ago.

The Stetson is still waiting for a new head to sit on!

Hi DharmaBum,

I don't appear to be able to PM you quite yet either. I believe you need a minimum number of posts. Thanks for your interest-- looking forward to being in touch soon!
