There was something ... honest? ... about the 1920s and 1930s when it comes to this ... the actresses/women didn't mind not looking glamorous like today models have to look, you know long hair and sexiness and all that ... they just went for it ... even if they didn't look attractive.
I'm not saying I like it or not, I am just manifesting a personal opinion
