Getting pockets retrofitted to an Aero Irvin

i recently purchased a 2017 pre-war Aero Irvin the historical accuracy of which much has been posted on here. Now I have had many Irvins over the years (From Aviation Leathercraft to Cirrus to Eastman to Aero and even WPG) and the one issue I always find with them is the lack of pockets. So I’m thinking of adding pockets (sacrilege maybe but it is what it is) the question is:

Style of pocket and Placement ?

So I thought I’d ask the collective lounge and see what the view was ??

I thought these looked ok, I believe the man did them himself.

Won’t that cost an absolute bomb?

Not really been quoted £50-100 depending on the design of the pocket B3 style pocket £50 ... patch pockets like the ANJ4 is £75 ... slash pocket like a std jacket (single lip) £50 ... double lip B6 style £100.

Aviation Leathercraft did sheepskin pockets on my old Irvin from them for £50 it was quite a cool design which allowed them to be 2 x inside pockets as well with no external seams

Slash pockets. Maybe even zippered, what the hell. It'd look super cool. Long time ago, I saw an old photo of an original Irvin, modified as a bike jacket. It had three zippered pockets installed, hand-warmers and one chest pocket, like on a Perfecto. The pockets were leather framed. Don't know how to explain any better. The jacket also had leather panels added to the back of the sleeves, B3 style and on a part of the chest. It was studded and had a few MC club patches here and there. It looked absolutely insanely cool. Always wanted to do something like.

I wish I could! I've seen those photos years ago. Even saved them to my old PC but lost 'em along with everything else in a hard drive crash. I think I stumbled upon the images in some old blog post, possibly linked to Himel's "Art of Leather Jackets" blog but I could never find it again and I've looked plenty of times. Anyway, posted were the two recently taken photos of the jacket and an even older photo of it being worn by some dude on a Harley. It was the coolest thing ever even though I was all into cr's at the time.
