A. Breiter München Der Hutmacher Am Dom, 59 1/2 cm, possibly mid 1950s. Not sure if A. Breiter München made this one but it looks like they might have modified it based on the hand written tag. Very interesting bow design and brim treatment. I not sure I have seen either before. I really like this one.

Very nice hat! That brim treatment (does it still qualify to be called “binding?”) is unusual and looks to be very difficult to execute. Lots of skill went into those hats. Thanks for sharing.

Finally! The first post of my Mayser for G. Kramer Frankfurt a.M.

The quality and craftsmanship is superb, the material is supple and fine to the touch.:)
Very well built, fit for a prince!:D

Rodney, Fantastic! Can you please post a photo of the paper label behind the sweatband (rear left or right)? Where did you find it?

Brent, Thanks! Probably the correct description would be brim treatment. I can't remember seeing anything like it. It's very exact to the brim edge.

Hey Steve! Thanks man! I got it from a fella back east Ontario, Canada a while back. Must be an Estate sale or sumthin' but I was really glad I did as this is got to be one hell of a well made lid around for the period I really don't know from really.

………...as requested Steve!

Rodney, Thanks! It's a "Supra" quality. If you have a chance can you take some larger photos (front, side, bottom, liner, sweatband including the seem at the back) of it? See my photos above as reference. Also can you take a photo of the complete paper label (bottom part hidden by black flap)? I have never seen a liner logo like this one.

It's very similar to this "Supra" that Manfred found a while ago (see link below). Again if possible I would like to see the entire paper label in your hat.

Man!! I’ve never seen so much in your archives that you have amass with these European made fine hats.
This would be my first and maybe who knows? I really enjoyed having a peek of different hats that you have stage here for us to drool and ahhhhh, with a question in the end of our mind saying “ I wouldn’t mind “ or “ I wish “ hehe!

Thanks for sharing with us sir!

From an upcoming die hard to another!

Thank you Steve1857, this Homburg really got my attention a while back when i was watching history channel when i came across a footage of the old British Empire with W. Churchill and the would be famous coined homburg wearer sir Anthony Eden.
“ The Eden Hat “ which led me to the links and sites of where/how and who popularized this gentlemans classic hat.
Oh and by the way, I happened to be watching an old western film over the weekend and so it happens that the main character BP is wearing a homburg “ The Assasination of Jesse James, by the Coward Robert Ford. What a coincidence but a good film tho’. After that? It was all about the Homburg for me.✌️

Cheers!

Glad you've found your way to the Homburg. No hat wearer should be without one. Enjoy yours and wear it with pride. It's a beauty.

Yep! Started off with a classic fedora then onto the wide brim zone, discovered all about Panama’s and other types of straw hats. Thereafter stumbled across the Derbys/Bowlers and Both hats to Porkpie etc. I pick the Homburg and I am sticking to it besides of course the others i have already!
Besides how many Homburgs do you have to have really? I have two already, maybe a shade of Gray/Brown later down the road!
Who knows? Will see!

Peace ✌️
