As a married guy with 7 kids, I surely understand the desire to have none...
It seems to me that what attracts and holds is a combination of attributes that works at that time. At a different time, a different combination may work.

Johhny Depp as Dillinger

Or perhaps it's the the kind of thing a woman in her late 30s will say a lot in public because otherwise people will tend to assume I am wringing my hands desperate for a baby before my 'time runs out'!
Edward said:not a money thing for me. I mean, I'm certainly much better off financially without any dependants other than my cats, but I didn't want kids long, long before I ever considered moving to London.

Puzzicato said:4th... maybe you have to stay childless to afford to live in London?
davestlouis said:I'm well into my 40s, and nearly every girl/woman I've been involved with had the following:
1. red or auburn hair
2. freckles
3. green or hazel eyes
The freckles are the absolute deal-breaker, no freckles, I won't give her a second look. A dash of freckles across the bridge of her nose, and the tops of her shoulders is OK, but a sprinkling of them all over is better.
I hope that I'm not being shallow, that's just my preference.
Puzzicato said:I was being facetious. I knew I wasn't going to have children in my teens, long before finances became something I thought about!
I find that saying it doesn't stop those sorts of assumptions and comments. I've had "But what if you change your mind?" - to which I responded "What if you do? Are you going to give him back?" and my doctor wouldn't refer me for tubal ligation because my marriage might fail and I might meet someone who wanted children...

Thoughts from the gents ?
