About time something was posted in this thread again. And it's a good one if I say so myself. Going to need six posts for this. As an introduction: Steve @mayserwegener posted a very similar catalog on the lounge before that is part of the collection of the Gotisches Haus, Bad Homburg, Germany. His post can be found here:
https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/books-about-20th-century-mens-hats.107455/post-2913605
This one is the same but different. This was (re)issued for the introduction of the "Zenit" line of hats by GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro. We know the "zenit" desination was trademarked in 1910, so that dates this re-issue either 1910 or shortly after.
The Gotisches haus catalog has a few pages missing (page 4 and 14 of the hats). This one is complete and has more hats listed. Quite a few of the hats are re-numbered (and it looks like the old numbers were stamped over by hand). The last page of the photographic overview is different as well: the Bad Homburg catalog had a picture of the plant under construction. That picture is missing in this one.
I commented on Steve's posting that I could only dream of finding an object like this. Well, sometimes Ebay delivers and here we are.

Clearly a great find! We have the company presentation with attached hat catalog a few years before the First World War. We are at the beginning of the industrial and commercial adventure of G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro. The catalog is made up of a company monograph and the production catalog of hats in Italian, French, English, German and Spanish; therefore I believe it is a monograph and catalog for export.
Having said that, congratulations Stefan and thanks for your perseverance

"Headquarters: Alessandria
Dates of existence: 1906 - 1937

Headings:
Borsalino Giovanni Battista fu Lazzaro, Alessandria, 1906 - 1937

In 1906 the “Società in accomandita G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro e C. “ was founded by Giovanni Battista Borsalino, nephew of Lazzaro, who was the brother and partner of the founder of the Antica Casa. With a deed dated 1 March 1925, the limited partnership was transformed into an anonymous one and subsequently, after a long period of industrial crisis, on 23 May 1933, Giovanni Battista Borsalino transferred the industrial company it managed in Alessandria to the “Società Feltro. Fabbrica Italiana di Cappelli” established specifically to operate its factories. By extension, with a resolution of the board of directors dated 23 May 1933, the “Società Feltro. Fabbrica Italiana di Cappelli” resolved to purchase the plants, name and trademarks of the Società anonima G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro e C. for the sum of 4,500,000. On the same day, during an extraordinary meeting, after having ratified the agreements reached and already enshrined in the deed of concentration signed by Dr. Guasti on the same day, the Società Feltro resolved to change its company name to “GB. Borsalino fu Lazzaro &C. Fabbrica Italiana di Cappelli”. Finally, with a deed signed by Guasti on 19 June 1937, the “Società Anonima G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & C. Fabbrica Italiana di Cappelli” sold the entire company to the “Società Anonima Antica Casa Borsalino Fabbrica di Cappelli in Alessandria founded in 1857”. The meeting of the concentrated company, on 30 June 1937, ratifying the actions of the Board, resolved to dissolve it without giving rise to liquidation, since the Company no longer had liabilities to settle and the assets were entirely liquid. With this resolution, the Società Anonima “G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & C. Fabbrica Italiana di Cappelli” was extinguished.

Certainly some interesting creases
Thank you, gentlemen. Extremely satisfying to me to find these pieces and to share them with the friends here who appreciate them.

Not but a couple of months after finding out that my other hat was fake last year, I finally managed to get my hands on a true G.B. Borsalino Fv Lazzaro:

I'm sorry to tell you that the hat is a Borsalino from the 1970s or 1980s, made for the US market and branded GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro for marketing purposes.
Original GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro are very rare, considering their production ended in 1936.

Not quite a fake as it is a Borsalino made hat, but as Daniele @Daniele Tanto points out, it is not a true G.B. Borsalino Fu Lazzaro.

Study this thread and get to know the labels, liners, and sweatbands if you really want to find a pre-1936 Fu Lazzaro.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been somewhat busy these past few days.

Nonetheless, I appreciate the information. It has helped me out a lot.

I guess I kind of knew that it had been made by the Anti Casa Borsalino already and that it was a marketing thing that they did. However, I was not aware that it was made in the 70's or 80's. So that was something new I learned from posting it on this thread.

Regardless, it's still a nice hat, even if it isn't technically a true Fu Lazzaro. I especially love the raspberry-like tint that it has when it's in the right lighting. I think that is probably what makes this hat so unique, as I have never seen another one quite like this. It really is stunning to look at, especially in person.

Anyways, thank you for helping me expand my knowledge of these rare gems.

Hopefully, I'll be able to use it to find a true Fu Lazzaro of my own someday.

Hello again everyone here!
I am very sorry I have been absent for so much time from your fantastic community, but work and family have kept me away from my hobbies.
I have always been reading you during the last years without missing anything. I am literally amazed from the findings of all of you “treasure hunters” here, therefore I want to give you all my compliments (and also a little “positive” envy!).
I hope you all are doing well and that everything is ok, with your lives, work, families and with your hobbies.
I want to share with you my new Fu Lazzaro findings of this last year.
I have found 3 hats that look like being very very old ones, all very tight for my head but very important from a historical point of view, so I am beginning with the first one.
This is a real gem: a Borsalino fu Lazzaro roulé in PINO green, size 4 1/2 french punti (56cm), no liner, original sweatband with the wonderful shop label of ENRICO CHIAPPA in Turin. No liner, no logo label in the interior part of the crown.
Inner label of the early type, with the size number in the centre. I guess this could come from pre-1920, as well as the other two I am about to show you.
Wonderful original back bow wonderfully preserved as well as the rest of the hat.
Would it be possible for you experts to give me a hand dating it more precisely? And also, if possible, to help me understand the model name stamped on the bottom right of the paper label
Let me please know if you like it. Thanks with all my heart and see you soon!

Second gem: very early (post 1911) Borsalino fu Lazzaro roulé in black, black ribbon and bow. Model name URAL stamped on the inner paper label. Same size (4 1/2 french punti, 56cm) as the previous one. I’m presenting the hat only with open crown to give you a more complete idea about the size of it.
Unfortunately no logo label here also, which has been lost in the decades. Borsalino fu Lazzaro two dogs logo by Simonetti stamped on the sweatband. Fantastic general preservation conditions.

Third and last gem..for now (I have many others to show you but I haven’t made any photos yet): very particular Borsalino fu Lazzaro in dark grey. Rimmed wing, very very early (possibly the oldest of the three).
Very very low ribbon and bow, always in grey. I guess the colour name is FAUNO as written on the cell label, but I can’t read the model name (ZUGNO? ZUGNA?). Original liner inside the hat and original sweatband, bearing the name of the famous italian department stores franchise “LA RINASCENTE” in which the hat has been bought. Very narrow size (4 French Punti, 55cm). It came in very very poor conditions and I have done my best to restore it. Hope that you will like it. Please let me know what you think or if you have some questions. Thank you very much and see you soon!

Very glad to see you posting, Francesco. And with three fabulous finds in a row. Very interesting finds, even if they do show their age here and there, but what do we expect?
Can't be of any help with a more exact dating I'm afraid. I think I do remember the auction pics of the last one. Can't wait to see more of your hats and hope you can find the time to post them.
