Reluctant to let this one go, as it's the Topgun Foster pattern, but it doesn't fit me anymore, and it's time to pass this beauty on to someone who will wear it. When I got this jacket, the liner and zipper had been replaced with bad substitutes, and the spec. label was missing. With some parts from MASH and from John Chapman, and the usual stellar work of Steve Sellers, I was able to restore it to something like its original glory. The cuffs had been replaced at some point in the past, and the color is subtly different from the waist knits, but it's barely noticeable in most lights, and I didn't think it was worth replacing them again. I've never been bothered by it.

I have no idea what contract this jacket is, but it's either a 55J14, or Foster's first 7823 contract, before they changed the pattern. There are no stitch holes from patches or the like (although I'm sure there are some along the zipper chain from multiple zipper replacements), the mouton is fantastic, This is a great wearer of a jacket, ready for many more years of enjoyment. I hope the next owner appreciates it as much as I did.
