SORRY, SOLD!
These 3 hat blocks were 3D printed by reliable Etsy seller WalshDesign3D. His well-made blocks cost around $80-90, much less than vintage or new wood hat blocks. I’m selling these for $25 each (plus actual USPS Ground Advantage shipping) because they’re the wrong size for my hats. But they could be right for yours.

WalshDesign3D blocks are made of heat-resistant ABS plastic which stands up to steaming and ironing. They are post-processed: top layer lines have been filled and sanded smooth. Crown height is 6.5 inches.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON BLOCK SIZE: I use hat blocks to touch up or re-crease the crowns on my hats. I don’t remove the leather sweatbands. When I ordered them, I failed to factor in the thickness of the sweatband. So these blocks proved to be too big for my size 58 hats. It took a few tries to determine I needed to go down to a 56 cm block.

I’ve included the actual circumference of each block as measured by a tailor’s tape measure. If you do remove sweatbands, or you’re building hats from scratch and sewing in your own sweatbands, then the blocks should work with hats that are the same actual size as the block.

Block A is an open crown #52, with straight sides, a very slight taper front and back, and a slightly rounded top. The shape matches my vintage wooden #52 crown. It’s a good starting point for any fedora or western hat where you want to begin with an open crown.

Even though the bottom says size 58 cm, the actual measured size is 58.5. If you’re NOT removing the sweatband, then then this block should work with hats which are 2 to 3 sizes larger, between 60.5 and 61.5 cm.

Block B is WalshDesign3D’s special open-crown block, designed with vertical front/back and side-to-side profiles, as well as a flatter top than a #52 block to match the classic, square-shouldered look of 1930s and '40s fedoras and similar hats.

This block says 57.5 cm on the bottom, but it measures just a hair under 58 cm. If you’re NOT removing the sweatband, then this block should work with hats which are between sizes 60 and 61 cm.

Block C is also a WalshDesign3D special open-crown, with straight sides, back, and front, and a flatter top than a #52 block. This block says 57.25 cm on the bottom, but it measures 57.5 cm. If you’re NOT removing the sweatband, then this block should fit hats which are between sizes 59.5 and 60.5 cm.

I live in MD zip code 21075. Shipping weight for each block is about 1 lb 10 oz, so you can calculate USPS Ground Advantage shipping cost for yourself, if you like. Returns are OK within 30 days of receipt, with buyer paying return Ground Advantage shipping cost.

Please check the photos and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
