Cool find, Marcel. An old Thibet from France. My first Thibet. Great felt, without steam easily to shape and also a nice ribbon edge stitchwork on it. Color is very dark blue and it has good proportions. Like this one!

Thanks Steve!Cool find, Marcel.
Love the contrasting thin purple ribbon and bow treatment. The liner logo is a wonderful plus.
It should clean up nicely with some tlc and steam.
Thanks Matt. Maybe you are right it's woolfelt. But then it's the finest woolfelt i own right now! Jean Bourrel? Interesting!Very nice one, Marcel!
From the picture the felt looks like wool felt and all the components (felt, sweat, label, size label) point in my view to the Aude Valley/Esperaza—which, with names such as Jean Bourrel and others, was the center of French wool felt production.
I might be wrong, Marcel, but that’s how it looks to me. And YES, the wool felts from back then could be of incredible quality - take a look at the following thread—if you aren't familiar with it already—feel free to skip the first 10 pages of the pointless debate about "my wool hat shrank in the rain," and enjoy the subsequent collection of wool felts, some of which are of breathtaking quality:Thanks Matt. I am definitely not saying you are wrong Matt ;-) I will going to read the thread!I might be wrong, Marcel, but that’s how it looks to me. Marcel, Super find! Looks like Wool to me. My guess would be early to mid 1930s.Jean Peille homburg in black. Not sure, but i think it's pre-war. Great hat, came in a little dirty, but it was easily to clean and to shape. I think it's made of woolfelt. What do you think @Mean Eyed Matt ? One spot in the brim, but overall in a good condition. It's a great hat!

Marcel, Another great find! It's definitely Wool. You could be correct on the dating but possibly earlier. I will see if I can find anything about it.An old black french hat. Noureau Degennes La Haye-Descartes. Don't know anything about this hat, but i knew it was old. I think it's 40's-50's. Very nice thick felt. Don't know who the maker is. John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Thanks Steve!Super find, Marcel.
Like Steve, I think it's wool too. You can usually tell by the amount of lint and also that wool Homburgs are a bit more malleable than felt Homburgs.
That's true too of wool contra felt hats in general.
Congrats on finding it.
Hello Marcel, Can you please take a sharper closeup of this Patch? Thanks! Thanks Steve!
Hi Steve, this is the best i could make. I hope this will help you?Hello Marcel, Can you please take a sharper closeup of this Patch? Thanks!

Marcel, Thank you! There are words in the top part of the image but I tried to run it through ChatGP image AI but the results were not helpful. I couldn't find anything on "Noureau - Degennes Rue des Halles La Haye-Descartes". "La Haye-Descartes" became "Descartes" in 1967. It's a small commune and there are no address books available online. I am pretty sure the hat was sourced but the paper label only has numeric information.Hi Steve, this is the best i could make.
