I just experienced the same problem that Yeps described (BTW i'm not in invisible mode & I use Google chrome)
I just experienced the same problem that Yeps described (BTW i'm not in invisible mode & I use Google chrome)
I just solved it. I had to delete the old bookmark button and make a new one, and now it works.
I changed a setting too, so that might have done it.
Not blasting, but I'm going to simply list off some of the issues I'm coming across. Here's my $0.02.
The pages have way too many colors going on.On the main page alone, there are different shades of grey for the title boxes, post counts, and thread descriptions. Forum titles, latest posts, usernames, and post times are all different shades of orange. Some of the bars on the pages are shaded with varying gradients. Just too many colors, shades, and sizes going on at once for me to take in.
The smilies, while still resembling the originals, are blurry. I kind of miss the charm of the old ones.
Everything looks so... modernized. The boxes are all rounded out, and the speech bubbles for each forum look cartoony.
Everything has similar fonts. Even in different colors, it doesn't make up for the clarity afforded by sizing contrast.
All in all, just a lot going on. Again, not slamming anyone's work. All the work done to fix and improve this community is greatly appreciated, by all of us. But this is a thread to suggest improvements, so that's what I have to offer up.
Cheers,
Nathan Flowers said:I realize the layout is annoying, and feels crowded. Also the thread information images are overbearing, and feel like they dominate the page.
Why are threads in the Suits forum not displaying chronologically? Doesn't seem to be a problem with the other forums.
Only allows 4 attachments.[huh]
One other thing I noticed. We're only allowed a maximum of 4 images per post. I know the old board was higher, maybe around 10? If that could be changed, things would be peachy. Thanks for fixing the Signature code.

It took me several tries to get logged in. It told me "Thanks for logging in, Skyvue", but I found that, the two or three times, I was not actually logged in. Finally, it did log me all the way in, so perhaps that's set going forward. But I thought I'd mention it here, just in case.
This is not a big thing, but whenever I click to the main page, it asks me to log in, even if I am already logged in. I can navigate around fine once I get away from the front page. Also when I do log in and it redirects me, it is still on the page prompting me to log in or register until I click to some other page.
Don't mean to be a pain, but perchance is there any way to recover our individual thread subscriptions? Rebuilding a Subscriptions folder for a longtime/prolific user sucks on a level that defies words...
Thanks!
I noticed this problem too. It is because the host/domain name you logged in from is different than what the vBulletin setting is. For example, I had the site bookmarked as http://www.thefedoralounge.com/, but links on the main page send me to http://thefedoralounge.com/. Your browser will not send back your session/login cookie to a different host/domain combination for security reasons.
For the time being, users should log into TFL using this URL: http://thefedoralounge.com/ and NOT: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/
The site administrator should configure the web server to redirect URLs starting with "http://www." to http://thefedoralounge.com/ if that is what they want to official URL to be. There might be a vBulletin setting for this.
I hope that helps.
I preferred the layout and look of the older Lounge. This just seems too cluttered and busy. The new version probably has more options and dials and knobs to twiddle with but I'd prefer it to be simpler and more streamlined but I'm old fashioned.
But a very big thank you to all involved with the upgrade and for toiling away behind the scenes.
