Hi, some of you may have noticed my post today regarding my new Aero 1930's Half Belt.
Given that the Aero is a better fit on me than this AL Half Belt, this one is now up for grabs.
I only bought this jacket (from another Lounger) a couple of months ago & have to say, fell in love immediately. The only nagging concerns for me was the length.
The length is ever so close to being 'right' that if I did not have the Aero as well, I'd most certainly be keeping this one.
I would suggest that the jacket is from around 2013 (given the early label design), but has not really seen any real wear. It presents as an almost new jacket & still has that lovely oily leather smell.
It is made from what I believe was called 'Old Grease' Steer hide which is a terrible name but a beautiful, soft, extremely pliable leather with a matt finish.
The jacket is lined in cotton drill, has no obvious wear marks or damage of any kind to report.
I am looking to recoup my outlay on this jacket, no more & would like to pass it on through the Lounge rather than the bay.
My asking price is AUD$500, which at this point in time translates to something like GBP272 & USD$408, which is substantially cheaper than the 'new' price of GBP500. Payment to be made via PayPal.
I am located in Sydney, Australia, so postage will need to be considered - I will help any interested party to work out the appropriate charges etc.
Measurements (all approximate - pictures are provided to assist with your decision);
Pit to pit; 23"
Base of collar to hem, at back; 24"
Across the shoulders, at rear; 19"
Sleeve length; 27" measured down the curved outside of the sleeve, 25" if measured in the 'incorrect' manner of a straight line from the shoulder seem to the cuff.
The only thing that I would call out is that the back length of 24" does indeed seem to be short. I am 6'2" tall with 'normal' proportions and as you can see in the images, it actually covers my belt quite comfortably. The back length is actually a little deceptive & I would say that this jacket would comfortably fit anyone up to approximately 6". I understand that jacket fit is quite an individual thing though. You may call this more period correct I guess.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Dan
