Apologies, O/T. What's a "minibike"? I thought it was a kid's bike.
1000000372.jpg

A minibike is a small motorcycle that usually has a pull start 2 stroke power equipment engine.
Starting back in the early 60's with their introduction minibikes were sold for kids and that's pretty much how it generally stayed aside from the Honda trail models until sometime in the 90's when adults got nostalgic for the minibikes they had as a kid and they started restoring and or hotrodding them.
Mine is an adult sized more utilitarian model.

Interesting shoes. I think I need to find a couple of them.

They still make these " Historic " brown jump boots which are a reproduction of the paratroopers jump boots they manufactured during WW2.
They aren't bad for a 10" American made boot under $300 ( they can be found for much less from surplus dealers here in the US ) , but the leather is kind of dry and stiff.
Stripping off the plastic top coat and heavily conditioning them does really help though.
They are known to be better quality than most less expensive reenactors replicas, but I'm sure there's a premium quality heritage homage boot out there somewhere.

Corcoran has their standard black jump boots, side zip jump boots, the historic brown, a black field boot which is basically the jump boots with lug outsole and padded collar, a cool Tanker, and their marauders.
They're all made on a wide toe Munson last except the steel toe marauders, and the only one without a toe cap is the tankers.

They had a cool sage green marauder up until a few years ago that have been a private purchase boot for a lot of military members and can be found pretty cheap.

I really want a pair of Corcoran Tankers now.

Here is what the Sage green marauders look like in stock photos.

And this is what every pair I've ever seen looks like in person.

I like how they look in person, but also like the stock photo.

Well those Corcoran Tankers tempted me so much that I just went on eBay and found a pair for cheap.
They're a lightly scuffed display pair that may have been tried on, but are otherwise new.

Cool! Interesting, thanks.

Like 17" boots? Like Chipps? You'll be hard pressed to find a better deal on new than this:

Available in US 10.5, 11, and 13.

I rec'd a pair today in 10.5. Fit is xlnt, quality is xlnt and made when Chippewa was still making boots in the USA. All is right. Bummer for the vendor that they've likely been sitting on a stack of these for a long time. I'm wearing them now and yep... very comfortable.

maybe semi off topic but people wanting a thousand bucks for their china/indo boots is hilarious to me.

didn't they originally gain popularity as an affordable alternative to western boots?

My first pair of Brisselblack/Benzein boots were about $600 and the second pair three years later close to $900. The first pair were definitely good value but the design and construction quality of the second pair jumped. I wish they were cheaper, but I think they are still a value proposition considering what you get for your money

Yea, he’s gone up in price, but so has the quality and techniques. That is progress and I’m all for paying for good quality, regardless of where it comes from. It’s still less than 50% of what similar North American and European makers would charge.

Boots look amazing!

Are the trousers Bronson’s USMC “Officer” pants?
Thank you! Close, they are the 1943 British Army pants in JG. This is my second pair in this color, I previously purchased the others about 5 years earlier but they were always just the not right size in the waist. Plus, I had the originals tapered a bit (blame the wife) and since then I have wanted to get another pair in a proper size for me and not taper them. These were unexpectedly a different fabric than those originals, different in a good way. Darker olive and softer hand. They are superb in every way and now I need the tan ones to replace my other tan pair.
