I was lucky, i went into the shop Vancouver, and he had my size in, true to size seems to work for me, but ive seen lots of people say they size down half a size, like anything, if you can try them on thats the best way.

I am the same. I size the MrLou just like any RedWing. I have minimal heel slip but overall a great fit without having to fiddle to get them on/off.

Of all the Engineers I have tried, the MrLou is the best value for money for my feet.

My USGI surplus ICW boots with kilties added, recently I beat the snot out of them doing a bunch of trail hopping on my hot rodded minibike and decided to see how they'd look with some brown color added to the heavy wear areas.

Good grief I wish I'd kept all my vinyl.
I just came back from Japan, and brought a few more back with me, not too bad, seeing as this all fits in my only carry on bag, and I never check luggage, fair to say, it ends up being on the heavy side.

I sometimes think I may be less sensitive to fitment than some I've met. I bought Wesco Morrison boots in 10.5D which is a size I'm comfortable in with a few other brands of boots. When they're a little roomy I yank the insole out and put a nicer one in for ten bucks. Did the same to the Chippewa harness boots I have on ATM. Works great and the fit is perfect. The Wesco's just have a leather insole that works fine but it's not like they're magic. Stuff a new and thicker version in if you like and all is well.

I’m in love with my Mr Lou! Like you, same size as my Red Wings worked like a charm. Easy on, easy off

I’m not a boot guy and these are bottom tier but I love these doc marten Chelsea boots. They are wide enough for my platypus foot and super easy to walk in.

I still have my brown model 8908 Docs that I bought in 1998. I picked up the same model in several other colors over the years and still wear them occasionally. Lots of memories made in those shoes.
