These are nice but why did you sell the Clinch???
Thanks @Monitor I knew that I would do someone a big favor who had been hunting for these boots for a long time. He actually appreciates the boots more than I ever did. Yes, these used (probably still) to be my grail boots which I never wore maybe because of the „grail factor“. I fortunately got these beauties now and these are just perfect for me. Again, I don’t see any big differences in workmanship between these and Clinch but this is only my opinion.
Cheers,
Robbie

I’m a full size down from brannock in Viberg in 2030 and 1035 lasts and I think most people are. You got a great deal on those and the soles are super comfortable. Enjoy!
Any experience with the Viberg 1004 last?
Anyone?

Some say it fits true to size, in other words no sizing down from regular boot size.

I o like my IRs. Got them about five or six years ago, still going strong. Mine are the standard waxy leather in the orangey-tan colour. I'd probably have gone for the darker brown by choice, but these were on sale at around half of the gonig UK price, so I wasn't so fussy. Like they very much. I'd love to have a pair of these in a leather that could take a shine, though I know that's a step away from the original design purpose. Love the shape of these boots, with that big, bulbous thirties toe and the snugger heel.

I'm not familiar with that one, but I would like to try the 2040 last.
The 2040 looks great, I wouldn’t mind a 2040 in black with lug sole and all eyelets.

With all of the Viberg choices in style, leathers, soles etc. One could really make a collection of only Viberg, I am interested in a pair of Whites Semi Dress or 350 cruisers also. Boots can be as addictive as jackets.

If you give them a couple coats of Obenaufs they should take a shine.

I love those, the contrast stitching really pops.
If they were size 10 they would be gone. The only Chelsea boots I have are too dressy looking, from your side of the world, Bally Switzerland.

Really liking these 8087 IRs. Nice to order a stock boot with no wait and free returns for once.

There's a lot to be said for going stock with some things. Shoes and boots especially, absent the chance to try on or being certain I 'know' the brand / last, I'm just not willing to order any more. Made that mistake a couple of times - fortunately without any hugely pricey mistakes, but it's just too big a risk.

The one leather type I'd really like but is missing from my collection is a roughout boot. Kind of leaning towards a boondocker style, and flamepanda has my favorite last for that, but I'm not sure what his current wait times are or if he's even taking orders. It's probably well over a year now.

reverse Kudu or rough out kudu. Soft like cashmere but thick and though!

I was just thinking of using that leather since another one didn't pan out. I'm thinking of going through wesco for this because their last fits perfect, but I would have to forego the boondocker heel counter unless I want to pay the Mansway tax again.
