These are really cool design. A little different than most engineers. I like them a lot. If you don’t mind me asking how much is Onderhoud charging for these in that black horsebutt?
Thanks man. I think they kinda look all the same lol but I do like how these guys look. It's 700 (paid $400 for down then rest of the balance upon completion) total including shipping and PP fees

Long time coming, bro. I can't wait to receive my flamepandas. I hope they fit as well. Your Onderhouds look great. Heard lots of great things about that those Dr. Soles supergrip soles.
Them FPs look great! Made me want to change my whole order completely lol
You aren't on that discord community so you are more informed so I will take your word for it! I do know they look very good and it's very clean looking silhouette

Picked up a pair of these as well, astorflex. Very nice for the price on sale at huckberry. My new clarks desert boots are just plain ****ty. Probably will just donate them not really worth keeping in my stable.

I still can't pinpoint the subtle differences about them, it's just the shape of the toebox and outsoles that I can tell really haha

ooof do NOT say that engineers all look the same. There are so many intricacies to their design... very few companies actually do them correctly.

got it! I hear you but only true boot guys can tell those differences apart but I do value your opinion greatly on these matters.
I've already written an article about why there are so few affordable engineer boots and the difficulty in designing them is one of the reasons.

I'm also working on a top ten engineer boot list and the design aspect weighs in heavily. That's definitely the stuff that I pay a lot of attention to.

I read that bit too and excited to read up on the follow up! Thanks for sharing

Thanks! I'll probably post it here when I'm done.

1. That's not relevant to my article because it has been discontinued
2. Those are really ugly which fits into one of the other issues that I mentioned in the article
3. Yeah I remember those and am aware of both versions - I'm not sure why this is specifically relevant to my article, but let me know- I must be missing something.
4. Yes I know that. I'm talking about their popularity in the west
5. Again, also discontinued so not relevant

I'll definitely give you that you seem to have a more comprehensive knowledge of engineer boot models than I do. I guess I could add a section on how there used to be more affordable engineer options? I don't think the Whites are available anymore either so none of the models you mentioned were even available when I wrote the article. Still, none of it is very article and your post comes across as just trying to rudely correct me honestly.
I am sorry if it appears rude to you. I did not say there is anything wrong with your article or your perspective. I deleted it. Please delete your reply or the quote because the quote will still appear in yours.

Got my White’s First Ave Oxfords in Nat Chromexcel. They run big so had to return for 1 full size smaller than my brannock. Overall, they are nice for the price. Finishing details are far below the quality of my benzein shoes..wobbly stitching, rough leather transitions, thinner midsole and welt. I also wish the opening was lined with a strip of leather to reinforce and provide more structure.

Hopefully, my FP & Wesco boots will provide me with everything I’m looking for.

I love the look of many of the W.Lennon boots, but their website never provides a photograph of the soles or a shot from directly above the toe, so it's hard for me to gauge how wide their toebox might be. I wear a US size 13-wide, and don't want to pay for trans-Atlantic shipping only to discover their UK size 12 boots are built on a too-narrow last.

Any ideas here?

I would recommend emailing them directly and they can advise on sizing - they did that for me - Libs is v helpful. Also, most of the leather and sole options are not shown on the website, so ask Libs for details - they can also do contrast stitching and even have options for traditional hobnails, so there are many more options available than might seem to be the case from simply browsing their website.
