Hello folks,
My jacket arrived on the 24th, and I´ve been wearing it around the house ever since (way too hot outside..).
First reaction was that it was exactly what I wanted, a jacket to last me a lifetime. The construction is very well executed, the brown FQHH has lots of character and lovely grain with a deep colour.
Specs:
Size 40
23" Pit to pit
19,5" Shoulder width
28,75" Sleeves
27,75" Back length
Inside pocket without closure
Royal Stewart Tartan Lining
All brass hardware
The fit gets a passing grade, somewhat tight in the shoulders, could have used an extra .5", but it should be fine once stretched. The length is perfect, covers my belt just how I like it, and the sleeve length is spot on! There is some excess width in the chest area, but if I adjust the side buckles properly it is not too bad. And I have a feeling that the cargo pockets add to the boxy look of the jacket, before being properly broken in.
It´s overall a very nice jacket that I feel I can wear to different occasions, more- and less formal and it is a truly timeless style.
My only complaint is that the zipper pull is on the wrong side (right-hand side), from all of my previous jackets, so it is actually rather difficult for me to close it..
