First Aero jacket arrived - Half Belt Deluxe

Hello folks,

My jacket arrived on the 24th, and I´ve been wearing it around the house ever since (way too hot outside..).

First reaction was that it was exactly what I wanted, a jacket to last me a lifetime. The construction is very well executed, the brown FQHH has lots of character and lovely grain with a deep colour.

Specs:
Size 40
23" Pit to pit
19,5" Shoulder width
28,75" Sleeves
27,75" Back length
Inside pocket without closure
Royal Stewart Tartan Lining
All brass hardware

The fit gets a passing grade, somewhat tight in the shoulders, could have used an extra .5", but it should be fine once stretched. The length is perfect, covers my belt just how I like it, and the sleeve length is spot on! There is some excess width in the chest area, but if I adjust the side buckles properly it is not too bad. And I have a feeling that the cargo pockets add to the boxy look of the jacket, before being properly broken in.

It´s overall a very nice jacket that I feel I can wear to different occasions, more- and less formal and it is a truly timeless style.

My only complaint is that the zipper pull is on the wrong side (right-hand side), from all of my previous jackets, so it is actually rather difficult for me to close it..

Doesn't the HBD come with straps at the wrist? Wear it around the house a lot: you'll be surprised how much that helps to break in the jacket.

Great looking. Splendid leather!

Ton312 -my HB is already done or else I too would have gone with button cuffs.
Lucky dog man. You were due for a quick build tho! I'm hoping end of June for mine. That'll give me a good 4 months of just staring at it before I can wear it. Post that puppy up when she arrives!!

That is a beautiful hide and a timeless style.

You should get used to the right side slider, especially if you are right handed. I think it is my Eastman that has the slider on the left side—most awkward.

Damn, I haven't seen sleeves that long ever!

How tall exactly are you OP? I am genuinely curious. Must be nearer 7ft than 6 I'd have thought

I too am a big fan of this style, iwhich I consider a super practical yet great looking HB

I apologize for my tardy reply, been living inside a tiny bubble consisting of my final assignments for this semester..o_O
Thank you all! It is indeed a neat jacket, its really growing on me!

Wear it in health.
28,75" Sleeve length exceeds the normal range a bit. You should have long arms.

Very nice acquisition. Send fit pictures if you get a chance. Needing 27.5" sleeves, I thought I had long arms!

One could say that I am tall, depends on ones perspective I guess.. To me ´tis the other way around  But at 203 cm.. (6´8") ? I am above average..

Fit pics are coming, will try to snap a few this evening!
