44" p2p herc car coat BIN $475. Looks to be in very good shape. I think that's a tag from the 1950's but I've never seen one with that "selected FQHH" tag
this one is a little unusual but seems cool. Tagged 48 (european sizing, 20.5" p2p) leather pea coat from Axel's of Vail. They're still around but I don't see this specific jacket on their website. Looks like deerskin, BIN $300

The "made in California" tag and the leather tag indicate this jacket was made by California Sportswear Co. The label is 1950s.

All of the "catalog" jackets were made by a few makers. Jackets in these styles were very popular during the 1950s. JC Penney are as good as any other retailer in the 50s,

This however is concerning, a Crown main zipper that is "failed." @photo2u could this be repaired?
Finally - who offers a Size "50" M/C jacket this this Pit to pit? 23" Really? We cannot see the other side of the tap. Also the sleeves are around 24"

Yes, the jacket can be repaired. There are three methods to fix it.
1. There is a zipper repair thread here where some members share the fabric addition to the torn fabric.
2. Also, the industrial tape method, in which a tape is inserted into the male pin. The pin must be reopened in both methods.
3. Replace the male side.
You can always repair both sides. However, it is the most expensive, and in my view, this is the most prone method to creating more flaws if not done well.
