Just saw this - this is not a Trojan but a CHP. Either way a very cool jacket.

It had the Trojan label. I thought the same thing you did though. I wonder if Trojan offered a similar design.Just saw this - this is not a Trojan but a CHP. Either way a very cool jacket.

Stu did have original Trojans of several styles. The "CHP" term was often used back on the day for several different styles of jackets that the actual CHP used. Nothing official just trends of the time & mainly due to the tv show. There were stores that sold them decades ago. One in Montebello near my old house sold Cals and Trojans. I believe they still in business.Ah gotcha. Yeah, Stu for some reason puts a Trojan label on his CHPs although I think he based his CHP design on Cals. He probably has some resource that says Trojan did it first. I’m not sure who really introduced that design.
Likewise Freewheelers have a similar practice of putting on a “Spartan” label on their Mulhollands to emulate Trojan.
A very close friend of mine gifted me one of his original ones to me. He knew I love the cut and the style. He also gifted me a tan Elvis he got from a member here. The fifties was a great decade of prosperity and American productivity.

I asked the man himself and like you implied, it's based off of a Trojan, but similar enough to the Star Glove design that he's willing to put either label on. Think the Trojan one is much nicer though.
He is a good person to have while caught in a Saling storm.I need your friends.
Probably nothing crazy, but just two random leather jackets i saw at a vintage shop on my lunch break. Not my style nor size but kinda cool
The Schott’s was 40, and I believe the same for the unknown oneCould you possibly remember the sizes on these?
