Hi all, I'm looking for a cheap, sub 150. Jacket in around a size 38 to 40 (in American sizing). Ideally cropped and in dark brown. Could anyone help me out out? No clue on what brands to look out for, any help would be greatly appreciated

If you’re looking for leather you are unlikely to get any recommendations here at that price point. If it doesnt need to be leather grab a corduroy trucker

Those Branded Garment jackets are decent and can be bought for under $150. The same is true of some older Schotts.

Reading through the last several pages of this same thread should get you started. I have seen plenty, and I only search FL and ebay, nothing from overseas at all.
I have no idea what you mean by "ideally cropped".

What style, design/function and fit do you want? Button up or zip?

Save up a little more, you can get a much nicer used jacket for 250-300. Sub 150 is possible but rare and you'll likely end up with junk.

To jump on this frugality question. What would make this jacket not worth it, I don’t know what decade guessing 70-80s. Is it the historical aspect or is quality really that low of quality

Thanks both, I did! Price had been reset slightly higher and was around $100 in fees to get it here but it’s almost exactly the same size as my nice-fitting 5* replica so hopefully a worthy upgrade!

To put it simply, - Supply & Demand.

This is a '70's suede bomber cafe-racer compilation in brown. If it wasn't a button-up, longer "Grais" designed and sourced jacket at that time, it likely was one of these. The other popular choice was a black light leather bomber like the early 80's show Night Rider popularized.

There just isn't much of a market for them, hence the lower demand and quite low prices. Then again, you never know what might be in style soon, so...
