I get a pop up on the home page saying that they’ll ship internationally…

I'm not totally sure on this to be honest excuse what I said earlier. I've just always used proxies since buying from Japan is a bit weird - however I'm in VN and it may be easier to find proxies here because we're closer.

Not coming up on my screen, but often Japanese sites will advertise a proxy service on their page, I know both Yahoo Auctions and Mercari have some sort of deal with Buyee which displays a banner for their service. I think most stores typically don't ship directly to international addresses but there are a few exceptions, usually smaller stores like Barnstormer, Mirror Ball, etc.
