This Cal-Craft I recently traded Ton for has Cajon blackened zips as well. The zip side that's aligned w/ outside of jacket is more blacked than inside which makes me think it might be some kind of overspray. 1st pic "outside" zip, second inside.

Another of my favorite jackets is a Sierra Sportswear half-belt. High quality Horsehide. I have thought that Sierra was a label and not a maker, but I'm not so sure now. (I love their label) I have seen Sierra jackets in advertising along with other West Coast makers, making me think they were a maker located in northern California.

Very few of their jackets show up. Also makes me think they were a small regional maker. I'm not sure how closely I have researched the label.

I will post my Sierra in the Vintage threads

My eyes... They burn from seeing this monstrosity!!! Who would do such a thing?!

I would say it's definitely an original, by the way.

Those looking for an awesome, unusual half-belt ish Vanson with no shortage of pockets, in size 40, for a good price (without the sleeves cut off): https://www.ebay.nl/itm/Vintage-Van...p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

Totally agree Mendel - this was an astonishing thing to see done to what appears to be an Original J24 Buco. Real shame.

Maybe an old Wilson's/Bermans, but even that I would cringe doing it...
