I have been looking at this one, how would you reform the the waist band? (@Monitor, you did suggest this was not too hard to do I think?)

My old Connolly hwm had that zipper and didn’t zip but Denny Calder sent me a Talon puller replacement - an easy fix.

I guess you should contact the seller and inquire about international shipping. Generally, it is a Polish sales platform. When it comes to international shipments, I don't know how it works.

The zip pull - but it might have been a replacement? I’ve still got an Aero Highway Patrol jacket of the same vintage with its original Aillee (Ailée?) zipper. I think they used a variety of zippers in the early days.

I seen Cockpit jackets show up on the bay. I do not have personal knowledge but they look robust to my eye and my impression is they are up there with the best US jackets from their time frame. Comparable to Vanson on a smaller scale.
I would consider this if I was in the market for a riding jacket
I do not think it is a pure chance he has a cockpit and Vanson of the same size, probably came from the same sourse.

If you mean Cockpit as in ex-Avirex, I'm not 100% sure this is it but I'm hardly an expert on these things. I've never seen anything like it by Cockpit but on the other hand, they've done some impressive stuff (occasionally) so it could be.

It reminds me of Golden Bear but I haven't seen one this nice, with suede backed hem, fur collar, etc. Impressive set altogether.

Yeah, the made in US tag makes me think a maker like Golden Bear or maybe even someone like JL. Out of SF probably. And then this German with a stiffie rebrands it. Looks amazing. Some of those older GBs with the white label are awesome too.
