The Sears catalog pages reflect the Styles and markets of the day as much as any resource I can think. They showcased the best in leather outerwear made by the best. The range of quality was much narrower. I seldom find a "cheap" leather jacket made before 1960s. Sears had a range of prices, but the least expensive was a quality garment.
The Hercules name is a Legend in Outerwear.
Arnold-sized, too...26 inches shoulder-to-shoulder.Well here's a definite Grail... For someone who sadly isn't me. Terminator 2: Judgement Day Bates, sz. 46. Starting bid $400. Remember that the original is now $2700 so... Enjoy your T2 jacket.

A deceiving jacket, part of it's appeal. Looks pre-war, but is late 40s. I call it the Cat's Eye. I have one in black unlabeled. Someone tipped me to the same jacket with this MW label. I have never seen this jacket with a California Sportwear label, they have this MW label or none, like mine. I just got information that confirms they were made by CSC. A questions regarding the label stitching on another jacket keyed me in.
In so many of the old Sears ads, one finds clean cut guys wearing ties with their leather. It's not too often one sees ads today showing leather jackets with traditional business attire(though the definition of that is changing). I think some leather manufacturers strive for the edgy look, ie the homepage of Simmons Bilt

For the average consumer unfamiliar with leather jackets and insecure about what he wears, it potentially sends a message of "not for me." I think the days of the Sears catalog were arguably the Golden Age of leather jackets.
Nice. But damn, $90 shipping?
Guys, please stop complaining. That’s weird, shows 88.61 for me, but maybe it’s e bay calculated shipping?
And yeah, I agree, even 450 shipped isn’t bad in the end.
