The Beck jacket / pants came in today. No dice. The pants have truly awesome vintage steerhide, but the waist (tagged 34) is too large for me and it's a bit too much to simply belt up. The jacket just fits...weird. It's too large, but when I zip it up, the chest bulges out despite the jacket being too large, which is very odd pattern-wise. There's like 3-4 inches at least of just empty space between my chest and the jacket zipped up.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in trying either of them out, feel free to reach out. Some flaws that I need to disclose, but I don't want to get too off topic for the thread. However, the seller offers free returns so I'm probably just going to send them back unless someone speaks up within the next 24 hours.

Just bought this. I'm fairly sure the jacket is also Beck / Schott. Doesn't look as cool as some of their really awesome grain CRs, but still nice. I've heard these fit a bit weird, so if it doesn't work that well for me, I can move it to another member here rather than flipping.
I think your right, I had a 666rs before an i sold it because it was a 48 and to big. Very nice, great leather- thick, water resistant, nice grain. The buyer was john Chapman he used the jacket to make the pattern he uses now for the gw 666rs. I think you'll like it- hope it fits.
The 48 fit more like a 46 so its a size up jacket I'd say

I don't know what it's like on Vinted US but on Vinted France, they're dirt cheap. I don't even care to follow what's getting uploaded. I've seen horsehide ones listed at like $150 with of course sellers having no clue these jackets are worth anything. Some even mention how they paid a grand for it but have to sell it. I think they don't understand there's a market for these jackets and treat them as any jacket you paid a lot for in Zara's store but the moment you walked out, it became worthless.

Here, random pick from today...

I'm interested in exploring this marketplace more but filtering through the results seems like a bit of a drag. Do you have any recommendations on the most effective way to search through this website?

Other than looking for a specific brand name, not really, no. But I'm hardly the best person to ask, anyway, as I no longer have any specific criteria regarding leather jackets so filtering through results is what I'm finding most rewarding about this hobby. These days my search literally consist of simply browsing through all that is new in the general "leather jackets" section.

Fair enough. Any recommendations on quality brands to keep an eye out for that I might not be as familiar with coming from the States?

If you are looking on Vinted US, I doubt it any of the European brands worthy of your time will pop up. As for the US ones, I don't know how popular the service yet is in the States but all the usual suspects should start appearing with time. :)
