That liner looks so cozy. Went for the same on my coming aero project.
I couldn't agree more with everything said. I talk offers all the time in messages on non offer items. When an item is high, I don't mind shooting a low ball. Most of my offers besides item condition are my budget, reflection of asking price, comparable sale prices, and the seller or terms.
I've learned my lesson the hard way as a seller and watchers. I'm into watches too. I had one for sale that had tons of watchers pretty quick. I had an offer made, rejected it, and got into negotions. I didn't sell it for his reasonable offer becuase of all the watchers and honestly didn't really want to sell it but should. Many auctions, offers, and watchers later I sold it for not much more than the first offer. In the end the buyer was more than happy, but I would have preferred not to deal with all the watchers in between.
I watch a lot of auctions for various reasons and only a few of them I actually buy. The ones I want to buy rotate order of importance of what I'm willing to buy today or hold off until another day.
Hell there's a jacket still listed 6 months later from a seller that we were at a deal but he wouldn't budge on his 3x the shipping cost. Guess what, I'm still a watcher. Lol
I'd like to add that it never hurts to make offers even if the listing is not accepting them. You never know the financial situation of the Seller. Of course, as has been mentioned, sometimes you gotta wait for the item to "ripen" before you can place an offer below (or well below) asking. It has to sit for awhile and not sell so you perhaps get a more motivated Seller. And remember, although we all "watch" items, Watchers are not necessarily BUYERS!! I have made offers only to be rebuffed by the Seller who tells me, "I can't let it go for that. I have 25 watchers!" to which I respond, "I know its not what you are asking, but I have money and they have eyes. 25 watchers and I am the only one offering to buy. Keep my offer in mind and get back to me if you reconsider." This has often resulted in a deal more often than not.
But there is always that risk---and since your wife has seen the jacket, the cat's outta the bag!!
Thank you both! As luck would have it, it looks like Thurston just posted a women's jacket in her size she likes more and its not much more money and we are close to them, so we can even go try it on when they do a jacket fitting session locally. Kind of liking this other one too...sometimes procrastination pays off
There’s an old saying
Looks like Thurston Bros. have been working with Vanson on a variety of new leathers. This one @ton312 should avoid looking at.

It is terrible, horrible, what an atrocious thing to add!Very nice, but that little Vanson fabric tag on the right bottom hem is pretty nasty...
It reminds me of Schott in the 90s when they would do stuff like that, not a fan, i hope it's not a new standard thing.
Price dropped. Great deal.https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/153818087460
