46 would typically be too big but the listing says its a 38 but the measurements are not 38 like, 18" p2p. I'm normally a 40/42.
Yeah, the Seller's measurements do seem a bit off for a 38. I've seen people who measure the Shoulder to Shoulder not from the shoulder seams themselves, but rather from the gusset seams which I don't see as a legitimate measurement. That generally tends to end up with smaller Shoulder measurements than the jacket actually has though. In this case, the shoulder measurement seems larger than a 38 should be. Its odd........
Mine seems to be a legit 46 which is a little unexpected given the age of the jacket and the tendency for vintage garments to run smaller. Measurements on mine are P2P-25", Shoulders-21.5, Sleeves-25.25", Rear Length 26".
I'm one of the Lesco "supporters" around here finding them an underrated "off brand" that seems to be disregarded/downgraded by the masses. I believe this lack of enthusiastic respect for these jackets stems from a general dearth of known history more than a lack of quality. Not saying they're comparable to Aero, GW, BK, or anything like the tremendous contemporary reproductions. But relative to other American 60s produced jackets, Lescos tend to be a bargain for what they are. I wish their history wasn't so murky.
