depends on what you want to wear under it. The A-2 generally tends to run closer to TTS, so if you are comparing to a modern sizing it would probably be more like a 42/44. I think someone who wears a modern 40 would find this too loose

I was using a modern Schott 184SM to compare, and they add three inches over label on pit to pit

I've tried on lots of schotts and typically only the very new ones run big and only a little. I got a HH cafe racer of theirs years ago and I needed a tagged 50 (!!!)

They stopped using suit sizing a while ago, but all the suit-sized ones I've seen have been either vintage sized (IE p2p is like 1" below the tag size) or TTS (a 42 will have EXACTLY a 42" p2p).

This jacket looks in good condition, but I can’t find any info on this brand. Is there any info online anyone can point me to?
D’ya reckon his $725 is asking too much?
That's an 80 years old jacket and whatever the optical condition, time takes its toll, You can get a new-made Vanson or pre-owned but unworn Schott Cross-Zip for that money and that brand is not very collectable, I don't see why anyone would pay more than 300USD for this. But that's just me talking who would never pay as much for a 80 year old pre owned piece of garment as for a new and unworn one, not even a Buco...

Yeah that’s the way I’m leaning. if it was *exactly * the jacket I was after I’d pay it, but it seems too much for what it is
