At $5,735 USD this is definitely not a deal but it's beautiful. This is an indigo-dyed RMC A2 from a shop here in Toronto. The write-up...

"This is a truly one-of-a-kind piece, unlike anything else on the market. Indigo dyeing, or aizome, is an artform in itself. It begins with fermenting the indigo plant to create sukumo, a water-soluble dye base. From there, the dye is mixed with natural elements, wood ash, sake, lime, to continue the fermentation and deepen its complexity.

Each jacket is dipped an almost unimaginable 12 times to achieve its rich, deep blue hue. The result is a wearable work of art, every piece slightly different, each bearing the story of its own dyeing process. You won’t find anything comparable, and you won’t see a jacket like this again anytime soon. After the dyeing is complete and the jacket is hand-stamped, it’s washed and dried by hand to reveal its final appearance.”

I'm so interested to see how these look in a few years of heavy wear - I think it's a gorgeous color and once it starts to crease and mold to the wearer I think it could look fabulous.
Reason I thought it might be DH is because they’ve been doing that for awhile, have a google, you might find some examples.

I spotted the jacket on display in the real mccoys store in Kyoto, to me it looked rather underwhelming.

Here's a screenshot of the actual photo, for some reason I can't upload full size photos a anymore since I got an iPhone 17 pro.

These look gorgeous. They're also selling them at Standard & Strange and I believe have them in store in NYC, I'd be curious to check them out but I imagine they are in plastic protection and may feel a bit silly asking to try it on when I have no intention to justify buying a $6k jacket...

* Slight thread de-rail*

I also now have an i-Phone 17 Pro, and my shots also will not upload - "Snipping tool" in Windows Accessories if your handy little friend.

That said over 90% of what I still post are done with a Canon point & shoot set to 2.5 MP and a Nikon D60 on a tripod set also to a small image size. Works great and takes up a lot less bandwidth. Bot of which cost a LOT less that that new i-Phone
