...Oh, and at this point the new movie will be called Top Gun: Maverick and seems to be more sequel than remake. It will once again star Cruise, but this time he'll allegedly be playing an instructor like Tom Skerrit's "Viper" in the original.

Update: Mr. Cruise reportedly posted something on Twitter early today stating they've begun filming the Top Gun sequel. That is all.
